Revlon Bubble Gum Days Urban Nights Collection : Part 2

Hey Guys!

Sorry I've been away for so long, we've had a problem with our internet. It's all fixed now though and I have more of the brand new Revlon nail polish collection to share with you today. I picked up 3 colours from the new collection, as well as one other that I just thought  looked super fun for the spring!

Its been sooo cold here in Toronto the past few weeks with TONS of snow, so I'm just counting down the days till spring is finally here!

Let me know in the comments below what you guys think of these new colours, and I will have a new post soon with the matte top coat from the collection as well as the sparkle top coat in colour 770 - Heavenly.

The first one I got was colour 280 - Bubbly. This is an awesome bubblegum pink colour that is just as bright on your nails as it is in the bottle. I did find this colour to be a little think, but I think I just bought a bad bottle of it that someone had left slightly open in the store. (Sorry for the pictures, this colour is coming off a lot more coral then it is in real life -- I'm still trying to figure out my camera!)

Up next is colour 220 - Enchanting. This is a perfect bright lavender purple with a slight shimmer that is more noticeable in the bottle then on your nails.

Last of the colours from the new collection is colour 580 - Eclectic, this is a great baby easter blue colour.

I also picked up a spring green colour from the same revlon line, it's colour 510 - Sassy. This green is very Shrek-like and will be so fun to wear in the spring and summer.

All these colours are very true to how they appear in the bottles.

If anyone has any camera tips for getting the colours to be more true-to-life leave them in the comments below! I'd love to provide you guys with the best pictures I can!

Essie - Swatches Gallore

Hi Guys!
I have a few new Essie swatches for you from my recent nail polish haul. Today's swatches are of the other 3 purple colours I picked up, so keep on reading below if you're interested.

All photos below are without flash, Seche Clear base coat and Seche Vite top coat.

Essie "Play Date"is another deeper purple shade, this is more of a true purple colour.

Essie's "Nice is Nice" is a very pale pastel purple colour. I applied two coats of colour but in the pictures it is still pretty streaky. For best coverage with this polish I would suggest adding a third thin coat.

Essie's "Lilacism" is another very pastel purple colour, this one however, comes off as a more blue-purple. The coverage of this polish was a lot better then "Nice is Nice", and only required 2 coats.

I am going to be posting the rest of the swatches from my polish haul later this week, so don't forget to check back often!

Urban Decay - Feminine Pallet

Hey Guys!
Toady I have a review of the Urban Decay Feminine Pallet for you. This is my favourite of the 3 pallets Urban Decay Released in the Summer of 2012. This eyeshadow set is the most romantic and delicate of the 3. This pallet (like the other two) has 6 eyeshadows and a small lipgloss.

The packaging for "The Feminine Pallet" is sturdy and secure, making it safe for traveling. It has a pretty purple cover with black lace design on the front.

Inside the pallet there are 6 very pretty eyeshadows and a mini lipgloss. All of the colours in this pallet work well together as they are gorgeous pastels that are great for both day and night.

The colours in this pallet are (left to right):
Bordello, Skimp, AC/DC, Gunmetal, Hijack, and Lost.

Bordello: is a creamy rose pink with a gorgeous shimmer.
Skimp: is my least favourite of the pallet, it is not very pigmented and does not really show up on my skin tone, but it works well as hi-light under your brow bone.
AC/DC: is a very pretty lilac purple that you can build up to be a deeper purple colour.
Gunmetal: is just as the name suggests, a deep gunmetal silver colour.
Hijack: is an aqua green/blue colour that fits in perfectly the other colours in this pallet.
Lost: is the perfect brown shimmer eyeshadow, just deep enough to work with the other colours in the pallet.

The lipgloss included in the pallet is the deepest of the 3 pallets, its a cream colour slightly deeper then lip colour and does not have any glitter or shimmer to it.

If you're looking for a new pallet with romantic colours, perfect for day or night, then "The Feminine Pallet" is perfect for you. All the colours are a great texture and highly pigmented (besides the Skimp colour).

Urban Decay: Dangerous Pallet

Hi Guys!

Today is the 2nd of my Urban Decay Pallet reviews, for "The Dangerous Pallet". This is pallet that was released in the Summer of 2012 but is still available at Sephora locations and online. This pallet is very similar to the "Smoked" pallet, just with fewer eyeshadows. The shadows consist of 6 deep coloured shadows ranging from a deep gold to bold gunmetal.

The packing for "The Dangerous Pallet" is a small black zippered case with "Urban Decay" written on the front. The case has a sturdy black zipper to keep the contents safe.

Inside the pallet are the 6 gorgeous deep eyeshadows, perfect for creating a multitude of smokey eyes. This pallet also includes a small version of the Urban Decay lipgloss.

The colours in this pallet are (left to right):
Gravity, Loaded, Evidence, Deeper, Mushroom, and Ace

Gravity: is a deep purple shadow with a little bit of glitter, I found this colour to be the least pigmented shadow of the pallet.
Loaded: is a deep forest green, with just the right amount of shimmer.
Evidence: is a deep royal blue shadow, which actually comes off brighter on your skin then it looks in the pallet.
Deeper: is a golden bronze shadow with amazing pigmentation.
Mushroom: is a deep grey/silver shadow with a wonderful creamy texture.
Ace: is the darkest shadow inthe pallet and is an extremely dark gunmetal colour that shows almost black on the skin.

The small lipgloss that is included in the pallet is called "Naked", which is a skin toned colour with slight shimmer. The lipgloss is a little on the sticky side, and has a minty tingle to it.

Overall I think "The Dangerous Pallet" is a great pallet if you're looking for something new to create deep smokey eye looks, this is also a great alternative to the "Smoked" pallet as it has very similar colours and is a cheaper price.

Urban Decay products are available at Sephora locations and can be found online.

Urban Decay - Fun Pallet

Hey Guys!
Today I have the first post in a little series I'm planning, reviews and swatches of all my Urban Decay eyeshadow pallets.

First up, I have the Urban Decay Fun Pallet which was released Summer of 2012, along with the Feminine, and Dangerous Pallets (those will be the next 2 Pallets). The Fun Pallet comes in a sparkly teal case with gold writing and a gold zipper. The case is very sturdy making it a safe product to travel with.

Inside the pallet you will find 6 eyeshadows and a very small lipgloss.

The colours in this pallet are (left to right):
Maui Wowie, Deep End, Sellout, Fishnet, Stray Dog, and Freak Show.

Maui Wowie: Is a gorgeous gold shadow that is highly pigmented, however it does have a bit of glitter fallout.
Deep End: Is a deep teal colour, highly pigmented, and has a gorgeous shimmer.
Sellout: Is a peach/nude toned shadow, very similar to my skin tone.
Fishnet: Is a magenta shadow, highly shimmery and looks slightly purple in some lighting.
Stray Dog: Is a deep bronze almost brown coloured shadow, highly pigmented.
Freak Show: Is an extremely deep purple shadow, very pigmented, looks gorgeous on the eye.

As is expected with all Urban Decay eyeshadows, these colours are very long lasting and extremely pigmented.

The mini lipgloss that is included in the set is Midnight Cowboy, which is a clear base with shimmer.

Urban Decay products are sold at all Sephora locations.

Mani Monday - Essie Splash of Grenadine

Hi Guys,

Here's a little Mani Monday special for you. Today's nails are from Essie (picked up on my recent haul). The colour is "Splash of Grenadine", and it is a gorgeous purple that leans towards pinkish purple, not a blue purple.

All the photos below are with the Sally Hansen "Miracle Cure Strengthener" as a base coat, 2 coats of Essie "Splash of Grenadine", and finished with a Seche Vite top coat.

All photo's above are without flash in natural light, the pictures are showing the colour as a lot more pale then it is in real life.

Hey Guys!
Happy Monday, I hope you all had an awesome weekend! I spent most of mine relaxing, but I did make it out on Saturday to purchase a bunch of Essie nail polishes from Trade Secrets.  The store by my house was having a great sale on nail polish, so I spent a good portion of my christmas money stocking up on new polish shades for the Spring and Summer.

The pink colours I purchased are (left to right):

Peach Daiquiri, Cute as a Button, Knockout Pout, Fiji, and We're in it Together

All of the colours above are creme finish, except "We're in it Together" which has a shimmer finish.
Up next is the only nude colour I got:

Ballet Slippers

Ballet Slippers is a creme finish.
I purchased 2 peach colours (left to right):

Tart Deco, and Van D'Go

Revlon Bubblegum Days Urban Nights Collection - Girly (Colour 260)

Hi Guys!
For my first ever post I have a brand new polish from the Revlon Bubblegum Days Urban Nights collection, I was at my local Walmart on the weekend and came across the new display. I must say ALL the colours in the collection are amazing, they even have a matte top coat!

I decided to limit myself and only pick up one colour, as a lot of the other ones seemed to be similar to many of the OPI and Essie polishes I have. So today I have "Girly" from the collection, which is a pale pink base with dark purple, light pink, and magenta coloured glitter inside.

For the pictures below I have used Seche Clear base coat, 3 coats of "Girly", and Seche Vite for top coat. Overall I like the look of the polish but even after 3 coats there is still a visible nail line on some of my nails. This polish would probably be amazing over a light pink polish like Revlon's "Bubbly" from the new collection, or OPI's "Pink Friday".

Let me know in the comments below if you have tried any other polishes from this collection that you think I should try out.
